Dark Horse Contender in Supe's Race to Debate Leonard

An unexpected latecomer to the Eureka Board of Supervisor's race took voters, wannabees, and the incumbent by surprise in Old Town last night, stepping into the electoral fray right along with Neely, Bass, and Leonard.

Jeff Leonard in particular was so taken by the straightforward mien of his new opponent, he enthusiastically approached their camp with a heartfelt offer of a public debate.* More on that as it develops. Campaign information on the new candidate, FU-90210, available here:

Stick with Humboldt Hash and Rehash for coverage of the Leonard / FU smackdown!

*NO REALLY, HE DID.

Vaporize the human race? Turn Earth into a factory colony populated by slaves?

I agree that Astrobot's economic development plan will bring 100% employment and economic expansion to Humboldt County. But at what price?

I'm concerned about the negative impact his plan will have on our Quality of Life. I support creating new jobs, but what good is a paycheck if you have to work 24/7? People need free time in their lives to go and enjoy a day at the beach.

Astrobot wants to pave the beach with blacktop and turn our home into a factory.

On June 8, please vote for Jeff Leonard. I will work with people to find solutions - not vaporize them!

This teary eyed rebuttal is just one more example of why Jeff Leonard is unsuited for District Supervisor. His human emotions prevent him from making the tough decision, such as vaporizing *some* of the humans. This doesn't reduce suffering or increase effeciency- it just makes my opponent feel better about himself for not engaging in genocide, while the quality of life remains unchanged.

The idea that a paycheck is worthless without beaches and forests is misleading and offensive. We have no intention of paying the Volunteers. And everyone will be a Volunteer. If you want to or not is irrelevant.

Jeff Leonard's policies will never result in robotic conquest of the universe. And in the end, isn't that really what's best for all of us?
